1. The Glove - Mouth to Mouth.
I always wanted to put this amazing track as a playlist opener. The Glove is a fantastic unit from my personal favourites, The Cure's Robert Smith and Steven Severin of the Banshees (plus Jeanette Landray on vocals in some tracks). 2. Drab Majesty - Oxytocin.

3. Asylum Party - Play Alone.
One of our greatest loss this year. Thierry Sobezyk, bass player of the mighty French coldwave/post-punk band, Asylum Party, passed away on July 11th. Ever since I knew them, Thierry's distinctive bass sound is highly influential in my style of playing. Two of their full-lengths, Picture One (Asylum Yield, 1988) and Borderline (Lively Art, 1989) are two of the first significant releases that open up the amazing world of French coldwave to me. 4. For Against - Get on with It.

5. Body of Light - Don't Pretend.
Two Arizonian brothers, Alex and Andrew Jarson started Body of Light back in 2012. "Don't Pretend" is their 2nd single from their third full-length, Time to Kill (Dais, 2019). A mix of synthpop, new wave, and dancefloor in its finest form. https://bodyoflightmusic.bandcamp.com/album/time-to-kill
6. Joy Division - These Days.
I'm not a fan of their modern-day marketing campaign, but they're always one of the biggest reasons why I'm keeping this flame burning. Lol. And oh, to whoever you are stealing Ian Curtis's graves, fuck you, and I hope that your whole life is cursed. http://www.joydivisionofficial.com/
7. Reduction Plan - The River.
God, I love a mix of cold melodies and a good sax. Reduction Plan's "The River" really won my heart on the first listen. The track is taken from this Queens-based unit latest LP, (Ae) Maeth (Redscroll + Dune Altar, 2019). Soothing. https://reductionplan.bandcamp.com/album/ae-maeth
8. Deux - Golden Dreams.
The perfect blend of Cati Tete and Gerard Pelletier vocals with those amazing basslines on "Golden Dreams", really gets me carried away. Charming French-duo, Deux, is one of the best examples of French coldwave meets minimal electro/techno-pop. https://mw-deux.bandcamp.com/
9. Silent EM - Wraith.
"Wraith", taken from The Absence (Disko Obscura, 2019), the latest LP from Brooklyn's Silent EM a.k.a Jean Lorenzo. This one is a classical-style coldwave mixed with a heart-thumping beat. Catchy. https://silentem.bandcamp.com/
10. White Hex - Sisters.
White Hex is probably the most stylish Melbourne outfit. Gold Nights (2014) is one of Felte's best releases, but sadly, White Hex is already disbanded. Tara Green and Jimi Kritzler will be forever missed. https://whitehex.bandcamp.com/album/gold-nights
11. Equal Local - 12 Ways to Go.
Equal Local is a short-lived minimal-synth/post-punk band from Melbourne. As a bass player, I think the basslines from "12 Ways to Go" is very intriguing and interesting. 12. Black Marble - One Eye Open.
Black Marble has a lot of new things for us. Not only a new soon-to-released LP titled "Bigger Than Life", but also a new label (Sacred Bones) and a new location (Los Angeles, resides from Brooklyn). https://blackmarble.bandcamp.com/album/bigger-than-life
13. Carlo Onda - Kopf oder Zahl.

14. Twin Tribes - Heart & Feather.
Dark melodic duo Twin Tribes is back with a new track from their upcoming sophomore LP. Their Bandcamp says that it will be called "Ceremony" so let's keep all eyes open on this Texan duo! https://twintribes.bandcamp.com/
15. Creux Lies - Made.
After a highly successful LP The Hearth (Cleopatra, 2018) last year, this Sacramento's post-punk unit is back with a new dark-romantic single. https://creuxlies.bandcamp.com/
16. KaS Product - Never Come Back.
Earlier this year (February), we lost KaS Product's electronics maestro, Daniel Favre a.k.a Spatsz. This song takes me back to a couple of months ago when I spotted their second LP, By Pass (RCA Victor, 1983) at a second-hand records store in Blok M Plaza, but I was like broke as hell at that time. 17. Night Sins - Annihilator.
Night Sins is the moniker of Kyle Kimball, Philadelphia-based songwriter. After years of silence, he's finally back with "Annihilator", the first single from his fourth LP, Portrait in Silver (Funeral Party, 2019). https://funeralparty.bandcamp.com/album/portrait-in-silver
18. Bottroper Hammerchor - Anner Ruhr.
A truly NDW classic. Released in 1982 along with another track, "Jupp Putta". There aren't lots of information about Bottroper Hammerchor available, except that this band consists of Jürgen Pluta and Werner Boschmann, and being released by some labels like Hammer, Rocktopus, Hansa, or even Minimal Wave. https://bit.ly/2yXvSx8
19. She Past Away - Durdu Dunya.
One of the things that I love from this exceptional duo is their ability to put catchy guitar licks on most of their songs. 20. Graphic Latin - Graceful Rituals.
Graphic Latin is the moniker of Mirza P. Wardhana, a Bandung-based singer-songwriter. Ever since I and Tiok heard about his old duo-project named Knurd Hamsun (which is also great), we knew that he got all the potential to create good materials in this genre. 21. The Cure - A Forest.
One day in July 1981, The Cure played Rock Werchter Festival in Belgium. Before they performed "A Forest", they were told to cut short their set to let Robert Palmer get on stage early. Being pissed off, The Cure decided to lengthen this song's duration into nearly 9 minutes and said, "fuck Robert Palmer, fuck rock 'n' roll" on stage.
